Customer Service Representative

Position Description: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide telephone communication support for student loan borrower inquiries, loan application fulfillment, counseling and issue resolution.

Essential Job Functions:

*Respond to incoming borrower calls and appropriately assist with questions related to loans in origination.
*Initiate outbound calls to follow up on missing items needed to conclude the processing and disbursement of the loan.
*Provide written correspondence as needed in order to fulfill borrower requests.
*Provide incoming borrower services through alternative communication forms such as chat, Skype or other company provided means of communication.
*Identify trends and systemic issues as they may arise and report them to the immediate supervisor.
*Appropriately forward any incoming correspondence to departments for processing.
*Provide backup processing to account maintenance and other areas of originations as needed.
*Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
*Prior telephonic customer service experience necessary.
*Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
*Analytical and problem solving skills.
*Pleasant phone manners.
*Commitment to"best in class" customer service.
*Excellent time management skills.
*Flexibility and ability to adjust to changing work priorities.
